Damage Protection (In Lieu of a Security Deposit)
Sunshine Villa uses a Damage Protection plan instead of a traditional security deposit. This one-time, per-booking fee covers minor, accidental damage that may occur during your stay, providing peace of mind without the inconvenience of a large refundable deposit. The plan is powered by OwnerRez and RentalGuardian, and in the event of accidental damage, the host handles the claim directly—no deposit holds or post-stay disputes.
Optional Guest Travel Insurance
Sunshine Villa offers optional travel insurance through our booking platform for added peace of mind. This coverage is designed to protect guests from unexpected travel issues such as trip cancellation or interruption, lost or delayed baggage, and emergency medical or dental expenses while traveling.
Travel insurance is purchased by the guest and the policy is issued directly by the insurance provider, with our booking platform simply facilitating the option during booking. Coverage terms, benefits, and purchase deadlines vary by policy and are outlined at checkout.
This travel insurance is separate from our Damage Protection plan and is intended solely to protect guests against unforeseen travel-related disruptions.
Cancellation Policy – Guest receives 97% if cancellation occurs more than 60 days before arrival; No refunds within 60 days of arrival.
